Michael Yanis is a visionary composer, pianist and accordionist whose work seamlessly blends the sophistication of classical music with the emotional power of contemporary and cinematic sound. Michael Yanis first gained international recognition in 2014 when he composed “Mark on the Ice,” the official Olympic anthem for figure skating at the Sochi Winter Games. The piece, performed by famous French tenor Benjamin Bernheim during the gala, became an iconic musical moment and was embraced by Olympic champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White for their exhibition performance.

Michael Yanis has also become a major figure in the digital music space. His emotional piano composition “Piano Dreams” has been featured in over 500,000 short videos across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. Most recently, his pieces “Blue Notes” and "Queen" have emerged as a viral trend, soundtracking everything from ballet and modern dance to romantic storytelling and cinematic vignettes.
 

In 2023, Michael Yanis premiered a striking Piano Concerto  1 in collaboration with internationally acclaimed pianist Ekaterina Mechetina. The work, noted for its poetic lyricism and emotional range, reaffirmed his place among the leading voices in modern neoclassical music.
